Great news....I think

Got a letter from Tanya today that was very interesting. Interesting in that she commented that she went to the Kairos weekend and that it was a very "emotional time" and that she had so much to share. Mark and Charlotte were scheduled to visit with her on Saturday but that visitation day got cancelled for some reason. She wrote that she wished that the Rainwaters could come when I go Friday because she wants to share some things while we are all together. I called Mark and he will meet me there at 11 am on Friday, unfortunantly, Charlotte can't go.
What does she want to tell us? I have no idea, but I hope she looks across that table at us and says, "Jesus Christ in now the Lord of my life."
I will not be able to sleep over the next couple of nights out of excitement and anticipation of Friday.
I will write another post when I get home Friday PM so check back, or, if you hear someone shout "GLORY" you'll know what happened.
To God be the glory, great things He has done.

Excited about Friday

I will be going to see Tanya again this Friday. We are all very curious as to what happened at the Kairos weekend she went to. can't wait to hear all about it and if she was able to stay in the sanctuary or if she had another "panic attack" and left. You will hear me shout from St. Gabriel if she tells me she accepted Christ.
God has gifted Tanya with some awesome friends in prison that are trying to include her and are sharing Christ with her. Despite what she was a part of in Bastrop, she is still loved by the almighty God.
I will post again Friday when I get back to Alexandria.

Today begins the Kairos retreat at St. Gabriel Prison. I'm really sure what group this is that is putting it on but it is an "invitation only" type of thing and Tanya was invited. She has been so nervous about because of having to sit in a church which still makes her alittle uncomfortable. Please join us all in praying that this will be the weekend that brings her to Christ.
I will be going back to the prison to visit Tanya one week from today and then Mark and Charlotte will go back a week from tomorrow. I can't wait for her to tell me all about the retreat and what she thought. I am praying so hard that it will be an awesome weekend for her, please pray.

Amazing piece of art

The picture that you see here was painted by Tanya as a birthday present to me. She has never painted anything in her life, this is her first one. That's right, Tanya the Odenists, the racist, the cop killer, the meth addict, painted a picture of Christ hanging on the cross. When I go see her in a couple of weeks, I want to ask her what she was thinking as she painted this scene, was she thinking of Jesus, of His death for her, was she thinking about His sacrificial love?

I'm studying this picture as I type this entry and I really have no words to say. let the painting speak for itself.
